High School Musical 3!!!!

I left work at 3 today so I could take Saylor to see HSM3 in M'boro. Mandy went with us and we met Kami Cantrell and her girls at the movies. We went by the theatre to get our tickets first thing. Mandy and I had free passes thanks to Vera Bradley so we couldn't purchase them online. When we got there all the shows were sold out except the 8:15. That was cool with us. We went to the Macaroni Grill and then hit the Avenue for some shopping. Saylor was tore all to pieces. She could hardly contain her excitement! When the movie finally started the girls never made a peep. They were in a trance. Mandy has never seen any of the HSM movies so she had no idea what to expect. Ten minutes in she sent me a text that said, "This vacuums!" lol That is what we say instead of sucks. I thought it was pretty good and actually enjoyed it. Saylor couldn't believe Mandy didn't like it. She thought that was just crazy. lol It is a great movie for people of all ages but especially kids. Go see it if you get a chance!

Homeland Bank Youth Advisory Board

This is Christian, Brent and Hunter at the first meeting of the Youth Advisory Board at Homeland Bank. They were chosen from Boyd based on an essay and interview. There are about 20 kids on the board from area schools. They will have four meetings a year and learn about money and how finance works. They picked 5 stocks with their play money at the first meeting. Each quarter whoever makes the most money gets $25 and at the end of the year the winner will get $100. They will also take a field trip to the Federal Reserve. I think that will be an awesome trip. He had a great time and we are really watching the stock market now. The bank does a great job with this board and made all the kids feel welcome. I can tell it is going to be a great organization for him to be in. I am also very proud that he was chosen to represent Boyd.

Saylor's note

I posted earlier that I went to Rascal Flatts Friday night. Saylor spent the night with her Nan (my mom). When I picked her up Saturday morning she gave me this note. She is the sweetest little girl ever and so thoughtful. Thanks baby girl!

He's a Teenager!!!!

My baby boy, Christian, is 13 today! It is hard to believe how far this little guy has come. He has been through alot to be his age and it is not over yet. His next surgery is November 24. It seems like it will never end. He is such a strong person and has always been really tough. I guess he didn't have any choice. He has had cleft lip surgery, cleft palate surgery, bone taken out of his hip to complete his gums and many other procedures through the years. His next surgery is necessary to get his mouth ready so he can have braces. I am already nervous and so is he I'm sure. He will also have to have braces put on the 30th for the surgery and then taken off after surgery heals. It's all confusing.

Christian you are one terrific son and me and your daddy are so glad we have you. I hope you enjoy your big day and have fun at the TN/AL game on Saturday!! Happy Birthday baby! I love you.

Christian is two weeks old in this picture and we were going for our first visit to his plastic surgeon. He was the cutest thing I had ever seen. He was 4 months old when he had his first surgery.

He was the happiest little baby!
Look at that adorable face!

Can you say VIP seating?

Mandy and I went to Rascal Flatts Friday night along with many other people from McVegas. There were 18 of us that went to eat at Demo's before the show. That was a disaster but that's a whole other story. Enjoy these pics they are pretty good and I got to touch Joe Don's hand and we got 3 of Taylor Swift's guitar picks. Did I mention we had killer seats? 3Rd row baby!!! They are so good to their fan club. Also, they raised over $700,000 for Vanderbilt Children's Hospital. Their show in Nashville every year benefits the hospital and they have donated over 3 million in 4 years!!! That is awesome!!!

This was a great show and Taylor Swift was awesome too! She was so full of energy!

Rehearsal Dinner

If you read my blog you may remember in July my cousin Kaitlyn got married and my kids were in the wedding. Now it is her sister Whitney's turn. Here are a few shots from the rehearsal.

These are my two favorite women, my mom and my nena. Aren't they beautiful?
