More Updates...

My kitchen is almost done. The cabinets are finished are there are just some last minute things going on now. I was going to post pictures but there is still too much stuff in my kitchen from all the work. But stay tuned.
My light over my kitchen table.
I love my medallion. It was painted/faux finished by Teresa Watts and it matches my light beautifully.

My kitchen sink. lol

Hardwood Floors

Don't pay attention to the dust on the walls. That's from the sanding. We are cleaning tomorrow.

Next Came the Hardwood

The floors went down at the end of November and tomorrow they will begin sanding and finishing them. Also, the flush vents are my favorite.

First Steps

I started tearing of wallpaper that had been painted over. Which was papered over layers of older wallpaper and it was tearing the walls to pieces. I decided to stop. To make that fix easier we (when I say we, I don't mean me. I mean my wonderful hired help) added 3/8" sheetrock through out the kitchen and hallway. My wonderful brother-in-law Brad started tearing my floors up to the subflooring. We did this in kitchen, hallway and living room. This apparently was extremely fun for Brad. (not)

My Remodel

In the beginning....

...my kitchen looked like this. Artichoke green, stark white cabinets, nickel pulls and knobs, some kind of wood looking countertop, linoleum and a wine themed border. By the way, it looks messy because I had been packing it up getting ready for the tear down.

I will post the progress daily.
