Kaitlyn's Wedding

The beautiful cake by Patsy Bolding and Misty Bolding
(I just realized I left Misty's name off. OOPS. She is Patsy's right hand gal not to mention her daughter-in-law. I so envy the special relationship they have. They love and respect each other so much) They make beautiful cakes together for all occassions.

A view of the food tables.

My uncle Ron, her dad, walking her down the aisle.

Kaitlyn and Saylor posing.

The happy couple!

Kaitlyn and her Daddy dancing.

Ron and Angela dancing together. I cried watching them. Ron has been my favorite uncle my whole life and watching him and his wife was just too much!

My sweet Saylor caught the bouquet. It was pretty funny! I don't think she knew what to do.

Sad News

Today at the age of 47, Randy Pausch, died from pancreatic cancer. He wrote the "Last Lecture" after his diagnosis in 2006. (That is his quote at the top right of my page) I read the "Last Lecture" and really enjoyed it and was amazed at his outlook on his life. He wrote it for his kids ages 2-9 and even sang to his wife during the lecture at Carnegie Mellon University. I am so sad today for his wife and their 3 children. He was an intelligent and optimistic gentleman. You can view his lecture on the internet or you can buy the book. It is worth the read. He really makes you think about how you spend your life.

My Dad's new toy!

Well, I guess it is a guy thing because when we got this 1953 GMC panel truck last Friday you would have thought we had won the lottery. My Dad was tore all to pieces, not to mention my brother-in-law Brad and my ex Shawn. They went to Nashville to pick it up. It has been in storage for years.

This truck is special to my dad because he worked for Rudy's Farm for 10 years. When a friend of his from Sara Lee, which bought Rudy's Farm, called and asked him if he wanted to buy the truck he jumped at the chance. The inside has pig skin interior. NO I have no idea how that works but it does. He is having the truck buffed and cleaned up and will have Goolsby's Sausage put on it and use it for community events like parades. So cool! We are all very excited but the men just go CRAZY when they see it.

Our Saturday!

We started our day at the Vervilla Picnic at Bascom Cemetary. My grandparents are buried there and we go every year and spend time visiting family and eating and just hanging out. It was hot but not bad at all.

This is Saylor on some motorcycle/slash car. It was so cute.

I love this. They were taking pictures for one dollar and my Dad got in there with Saylor. I think it is sooo cute!

Our next event was my cousin Kaitlyn's wedding. Christian was an usher.

Saylor was the flower girl. She absolutely loved it! I will post more pics of the wedding soon. It was beautiful!

More from our vacation

Saylor trying to win biggest splash! Which she didn't.
She did get third in littlest splash.

Several of us at Calypso eating dinner.

Saylor got swimmer's ear while we were on vacation (of course)
so she wore ear plugs.
