Saturday in Franklin

My sister's birthday is July 18. We are going away for a spa weekend to celebrate. So yesterday my Nena cooked breakfast for Mandy's birthday. We had eggs, sausage, country ham, homemade biscuits, regular gravy and chocolate gravy along with homemade jams and cooked apples. It was wonderful as usual.

Then Mandy and I headed to the Factory in Franklin. We had never been and we loved it. Such neat stores and they had the best Farmer's Market I have ever seen. Just such a different place to visit. The Greyhound group was there with there dogs. Mandy has wanted a greyhound for years. These poor dogs have a really hard life while racing. This group takes them when the race world doesn't want them. They are the most wonderful dogs. Super laid back and extremely sweet. Soon I am sure we will have a greyhound in our family. lol

After our outing to the factory we went into downtown Franklin to visit Ivey Cake. We were mesmerized with their beautiful cupcakes. We bought a dozen to split and we are rationing these babies. They had one called Gold Digger, chocolate cupcake with peanut butter frosting with a sprinkle of pb chips and chocolate drizzle. It was like heaven in a cupcake. They are so moist and too pretty to eat. Of course we are eating them anyway. Here's a couple of pics.
Aren't they gorgeous?

P.S. We went to Whole Foods and we saw Neil Orne from News 2 doing his shopping. He is such a hottie!

Panama City Beach Vacation 2009

We stay at the most laid back and kid friendly hotel in all of Florida when we go on vacation.
This is the slide on the beach by our hotel. Ten bucks a day. They had a blast!

We had crab legs and shrimp one night. The same group of people come back each year from TN, AL, IN, and OH. We have a ball together. Check out cute little Maverick Smith. (Tiffany and Jamon Smith's son)

The crab legs were awesome!!
Ohio friends Laura and Bob. Julie their daughter with her hair up (lol) and her son Jarrod.

The hotel has movie night each week and the kids lay out beach towels on the lawn and they fix popcorn. It is so relaxing for everyone.

Greg and Jennie from Indiana. Her poor little dog died while we were on vacation at the kennel. It crushed her. I felt so bad.

We just got back from our trip to PCB, Florida about an hour and a half ago. I have already unpacked and have everything put away. My house is clean and I am just relaxing before it is back to reality tomorrow. I will post the few pics I took soon. Hope everyone had a great July 4th.
