Well, I guess it is a guy thing because when we got this 1953 GMC panel truck last Friday you would have thought we had won the lottery. My Dad was tore all to pieces, not to mention my brother-in-law Brad and my ex Shawn. They went to Nashville to pick it up. It has been in storage for years.
This truck is special to my dad because he worked for Rudy's Farm for 10 years. When a friend of his from Sara Lee, which bought Rudy's Farm, called and asked him if he wanted to buy the truck he jumped at the chance. The inside has pig skin interior. NO I have no idea how that works but it does. He is having the truck buffed and cleaned up and will have Goolsby's Sausage put on it and use it for community events like parades. So cool! We are all very excited but the men just go CRAZY when they see it.

This has got to be one of the coolest panels I have seen in a long time! Those are rare to find in decent shape, but to find one that already has sentimental value and future value, too...WOW! I can imagine the excitement. I discovered an old car in an elderly neighbor's garage when I was in high school. I bought it, got it running, and started restoring it. But a high-school budget shut it down pretty quickly. Still a lot of fond memories, and not the last car I hope to bring back to life. Thanks for sharing!
