Saturday in Franklin

My sister's birthday is July 18. We are going away for a spa weekend to celebrate. So yesterday my Nena cooked breakfast for Mandy's birthday. We had eggs, sausage, country ham, homemade biscuits, regular gravy and chocolate gravy along with homemade jams and cooked apples. It was wonderful as usual.

Then Mandy and I headed to the Factory in Franklin. We had never been and we loved it. Such neat stores and they had the best Farmer's Market I have ever seen. Just such a different place to visit. The Greyhound group was there with there dogs. Mandy has wanted a greyhound for years. These poor dogs have a really hard life while racing. This group takes them when the race world doesn't want them. They are the most wonderful dogs. Super laid back and extremely sweet. Soon I am sure we will have a greyhound in our family. lol

After our outing to the factory we went into downtown Franklin to visit Ivey Cake. We were mesmerized with their beautiful cupcakes. We bought a dozen to split and we are rationing these babies. They had one called Gold Digger, chocolate cupcake with peanut butter frosting with a sprinkle of pb chips and chocolate drizzle. It was like heaven in a cupcake. They are so moist and too pretty to eat. Of course we are eating them anyway. Here's a couple of pics.
Aren't they gorgeous?

P.S. We went to Whole Foods and we saw Neil Orne from News 2 doing his shopping. He is such a hottie!
